Description
Hayman Polyethylene Floor Safe – FS4000
The FS4000 features Hayman’s patented „Polyethylene“ body, which is rustproof and leak-resistant. It is one of the most dramatic design innovations ever for floor safes and is one of a kind on the market today. This safe provides features many other brands do not have, such as storage shelves, a filing system, and a false floor. Other great features include a steel cover plate and a carpeted interior to make this safe flush with your floor.
The doors on the FS4000 are interchangeable with all FS series safes and come standard with a 1/2″ solid steel door (B-rated). For additional security, you can upgrade to the 1″ door, which is considered a „C-rate.“ The door features a patented, spring-assisted lift-off door, making it easy to open and close. Never worry about the door slamming your fingers or hand again. A solid steel bar on the hinge side prevents anyone from easily prying the door open.
The lock on the Hayman FS4000 is a UL-listed Group II Dial Combination Lock. You can upgrade to a Securam Basic Digital Lock for an additional cost. There is a dual relock system and a drill resistive hardplate to prevent drill attacks.

What our Experts Think
- Innovative polyethylene floor-safe design
The FS4000 uses a patented water-tight polyethylene body that resists rust and ground moisture—ideal for in-floor installation where metal bodies can corrode. - Superior concealment + security
Installed below the floor surface, only the door is exposed, making it much harder for burglars to locate or attack compared with above-ground safes. - Robust solid steel door & frame
Standard with a ½″ solid steel door and reinforced frame (upgradeable to 1″ or 1½″), giving excellent burglary resistance at the primary access point. - Dual relock & hardplate protection
A dual relock system and drill-resistant hardplate help secure the lock and bolts against drilling and tampering. - User-friendly patented lift-off door
The spring-assisted, lift-off door allows smooth opening and closing without tools—combining convenience with security. - Organized interior & false floor
Built-in shelves, vertical filing system, and a false floor help organize documents and valuables efficiently. - Versatile lock options
Comes with a UL-listed combination lock, with optional electronic upgrades for modern access control.

Maintenance Tips
- Test & Care for the Lock: Regularly exercise the UL-listed Group II dial combination lock to ensure smooth operation; consider light dusting and periodic professional servicing for mechanical locks.
- Protect Against Moisture: Although the patented polyethylene body is rustproof and leak-resistant, check for water ingress at the top seal and around the concrete interface; ensure surrounding floor drainage directs water away.
- Clean Interior & Exterior: Wipe the carpeted interior and steel cover plate with a soft cloth to remove debris and prevent abrasion; avoid harsh chemicals.
- Inspect Relock & Hardplate: Periodically verify the dual relock system and drill-resistant hardplate remain unobstructed and functional to maintain burglary resistance.
- Check Door Mechanism: Ensure the spring-assisted, lift-off solid steel door operates freely; apply light lubricant to hinge pins if movement feels stiff.
- Monitor Installation Seal: After installation in concrete, inspect the dust cover and seal area for cracks or gaps that could allow debris or moisture in.
